What band did you discover in 2011 (can be a brand new band or an older band) that had an impact on your life? What made them significant?
My Fictions. Just listen to I Want Nothing and tell us it didn't leave some sort of mark on your life!
How will you remember 2011 (in terms of music)?
Oh gosh... so much great music from so many good bands. The Fest 10! All of the great shows that we were able to organize for a lot of bands; which have become some of our really good friends. Henry Rollins owns a record we put out! Just the plain fact that we have put out 4 records is still beyond us...
What can we look forward to from you in 2012?
We are working with this really cool band from San Antonio, TX called Sohns. We are hoping to have a 7" out by them in the spring, along with another project yet to be announced. And probably some other things that we don't even know about yet. Then in our free time continue organizing all-ages shows in our respective hometowns!
What records are you looking forward to most in 2012?
The untitled Sohns 7”. The debut LP's from Dikembe, You Blew It!, and The Bastards of Fate. We heard through the grapevine that Football, Etc. might be releasing a new record of some sort. The new Buck Gooter record Consider the Grackles. Gifts From Enola & Caravels and some new tunes from Hold Tight! Fingers crossed for some new The Cassettes and My Fictions music, but we will see...
What did you expect to be huge in 2011 which never made it?
Picking up after yourself, electrical cars, the end of the world, and world peace.
