(Mike Browne)

What are your top five albums that were released in 2009? (In order 1-5)

  1. Iron Age - The Sleeping Eye

  2. Converge - Axe To Fall

  3. The Hope Conspiracy - True Nihilist

  4. Baroness - Blue Record

  5. Shook Ones - The Unquotable AMH

What band did you discover in 2009 (can be a brand new band or an older band) that had an impact on your life? What made them significant?

Baroness. Their knack for creating memorable hard rock songs reassures me there is hope left for good music.

How will you remember 2009? (In terms of music)

Converge released perhaps their best record to date, Blacklisted has an acoustic song on their new album, Iron Age took us back to 1984, and Integrity continues to print too much merch.

2009 was a huge year for reunions. What reunion excited you the most? What band that has not reunited would you love to see play/record most in 2010?

Sunny Day Real Estate reunion was a dream come true. Would love to see The Smiths or Jawbreaker reunite in 2010.

What can we look forward to from you in 2010?

More great bands to promote!

What three records are you looking forward to most in 2010?

Integrity's "The Blackest Curse", a new Torche album, and the new Dillinger Escape Plan
