Melvins drummer extraordinaire Dale Crover has an upcoming solo record, Glossolalia, due out on Sept. 13 on Joyful Noise Recordings, his third solo full-length. The new record is also laced with guest musicians, including Tom Waits, Kim Thayil, Ty Segall, and more.
Stylistically, the record dabbles in garage rock, proto-metal, and psych-pop. It will release on LP, cd, and a limited vinyl variant packaged with a bonus flexi-disc.
The first single is "Doug Yuletide," made with guitarist Dan Southwick (Altamont). Crover will hit the road this summer, on a run of dates with Dale Crover Band, as well as playing drums with Redd Kross.
