- Ancient VVisdom – A Godlike Inferno
- Withdrawal – Faith, Flesh and Blood
What band did you discover in 2011 (can be a brand new band or an older band) that had an impact on your life? What made them significant?
A little late in the year but due to the staff at Cvlt Nation I discovered the band Dephosphorus. Their album Axiom has been played pretty much every day since I got my hands on it.. I cant think of another band right now that sounds like them.. The band truly inspires me creatively and Im sure Ill be creating to their tracks quite a bit in 2012.
How will you remember 2011 (in terms of music)?
2011 will be the year that I really got back into the Power Violence Genre. Low Places, Desphosphorus, and ACxDC are just a few names that come to mind that steered me in that direction.
What can we look forward to from you in 2012?
You should see some new artworks from Botfly, along with work for Unholy Majesty, Human Slaughter, and Everything Went Black. A Collaboration with an extremely talented Polish artist by the name of Szymon Siech is underway as well. I don’t want to give out to much info on that but what I can say is that fans of either of our works will not be disappointed. This shit is brutal as fuck.
What records are you looking forward to most in 2012?
Hopefully new works from Unholy Majesty, Gehenna, Withdrawal, Vermapyre, and Integrity will hold me over in 2012.
What did you expect to be huge in 2011 which never made it?
The Most underrated group in 2011 had to be Botfly from Texas.. These dudes put out some really good DIY material and most people didn’t even give a shit.. Then you have bands like Touche Amore that hardly put any work in and fucking blow up beyond anything else.. I just don’t get it.. Now im told that Botfly will cease to exist mid 2012..
