Scene Point Blank: Do you currently have any touring plans?
Gregory Dunn: That we do. We'll be touring the Midwest in July, and then hopefully heading out with this band In:Aviate in August.
Scene Point Blank: Guess it's back to the studio after that? Or will that be later?
Gregory Dunn: Hopefully more touring.
Scene Point Blank: When playing live, does your music sound exactly as it does on record, or is it completely different?
Gregory Dunn: It's not completely different, but it's certainly a different experience. I think we tend to sound a bit heavier, a bit louder.
Scene Point Blank: I know what you mean by that. I noticed that there's some layering of instruments on a few of your songs and I was curious as to how it translates live.
Gregory Dunn: We try to play as much as we can, but also play to backing tracks. A lot of the string arrangements come through as samples.
Scene Point Blank: I'm really looking forward to your next release. Have you begun writing anything for it yet?
Gregory Dunn: No we haven't, we've been insanely busy with finishing up school, booking these summer dates, and promoting Foreword.
Scene Point Blank: Has the response been good at any of your recent shows?
Gregory Dunn: I hope so. Haha.
Scene Point Blank: Are there any artists/bands you use as inspiration when writing your music?
Gregory Dunn: Yeah. I mean, there's a lot. This band from Nashville, Hammock was big when writing Foreword. Come Now Sleep by As Cities Burn was also heavily in rotation when writing Foreword - another outstanding band.
Scene Point Blank: Alright, thanks for taking the time for the interview and sharing some info about the record.
Gregory Dunn: No problem! Thanks for talking.
Scene Point Blank: Looking forward to your next release and possibly seeing you if you come to Maryland.
Gregory Dunn: Thanks dude.
