Any band that has a song called "Gets **** Started" and has not one or two, but three pictures of their guitar player doing posi-jumps you just know I'm going to automatically fall in love with even before I listen to the CD.
Luckily I didn't go and make myself look like an ass by gushing over Attitude before I even gave the CD a whirl because Attitude plays spirited rocking hardcore that comes off as a more moshy version of Suicide File or a non-stoned sped up Annihilation Time. We All Go Down Together is nine tracks of entertaining pissed off hardcore that has some remarkable breakdowns and even superior sing along parts. Attitude really shows off their chops when they go mach 5 in the songs "Catch the Fever" and "Get the Shot" only to have them breakdown into some the best floorpunching devastation my ears have had the pleasure of beholding.
The drumming on We All Go Down Together is especially first-rate with inventive fills and always keeps pace with the rest of the band no matter what pace they might be in whether in be fast as hell or mid-paced as fuck. The drummer reminds me of a Jarrod Alexander (Suicide File, the Hope Conspiracy, When Tigers Fight, etc) having an epileptic seizure down a flight of stairs in time.
I'm having a hard time sitting in my seat as I try and write this review. There's been a few times where I need to stop and do some air drumming, bob my head up and down, point my finger, or even run around my apartment bedroom... There aren't many hardcore bands out there these days that fill me with sort of unabashed energy with so many clones other there. Too many times I've thought to myself, "Yeah this is great and everything but I've heard it all before and just done better." Attitude avoids these traps like a level 24th Rogue to the point I don't even mind the massive Modern Life is War-ish sing-along part on the title track that closes this CD. As the guitar feedback whines you can almost feel all the pent up intensity finally being released in to the air as the music fades away and you're feeling tired and angry but beyond fucking good. Like good energetic hardcore? Get this.
