Anti-Flag has always been a band about raising awareness, but usually the subject is tied to our country's government in some manner. The band continues on with this EP, but instead of enlightening Americans about the evils of the U.S. government the band is raising awareness and monetary funds to help victims of violent crimes, something that hits close to home as bassist Chris #2 lost his sister and her boyfriend to such an act.

We have here a collection of b-sides, interludes, and live tracks from the band's last U.S. tour. Bright spots include "No Paradise," an energetic and upbeat punk number with fairly straightforward rock-song structure. Also of note is "Marc Defiant," a nice fast-paced punk number. "Corporate Rock Still Sucks" is an ironic jab. The interludes aren't much worth mentioning and the live songs are just live versions of fan-favorites.

This is a collection of hard-to-finds and rarities packaged together for a good cause. One cannot find fault in that. Obviously these songs weren't meant to be consumed as a whole, so rating it as such would be unfair. The EP is a nice collectors item for Anti-Flag fans and a good purchase for anyone that enjoys helping a just cause.

It takes a lot for me to completely lose faith in some of my favorite bands, and I came pretty close to completely giving up on Anti-Flag after the disaster that was The Bright Lights of America. My faith was then restored a bit after hearing that they left RCA Records and joined the ever growing roster at Side One … Read more

Barack Obama recently apologised to the families of two Western hostages killed during US drone strikes in January in the Pakistan-Afghanistan border. The use of drones is nothing new, they've been used since George W Bush was commander in chief, and it seems the narrative of American politics never greatly changes. The only thing that does change is the level … Read more
