Cosmic Kitten, a post-grunge trip from Long Beach, CA, has announced their fourth album, Laugh of a Lifetime, which the band will self-release on May 5. While that’s still three-plus months from now, the band is giving us an early taste of the record.
Today, Scene Point Blank is excited to premiere the album’s second single, “All The World,” a fiery boom and then burst of emotion and frustration.
The band says:
“All the World” is about our 2020 lockdown experience and the feelings of isolation it gave us and so many others. The song speaks of being trapped inside while making bigger plans to expand your world and seek your dreams at a time that is most shut down. We also expressed in the song the hardships of insecurity and self doubt bred by the extended moments of inactivity.

The album continues these themes of mental health and managing trauma throughout the new record, coming from the perspective of a gender fluid, non-binary person of color living in modern times. It was recorded by Pedro Mancillas, Steve Moriarty (The Gits) and mastered by Jack Endino (Nirvana).
In addition to advance singles, the band hits the UK in April, then will tour the western US in May, including a hometown show on May 14.
