Last year Mickey Leigh's Mutated Music released a new album, Variants of Vibe (Wicked Cool Records).
While the album itself isn't news right now, the band has a new live in-studio video from that record for the song "Loneliness," which was co-written with Lester Bangs. Mickey Leigh is a NYC punk vet, formerly playing with the Rattlers and Stop, and also being the brother of Joey Ramone (who played with him in Sibling Rivalry). While Leigh has been making music for 50-some years, Variants of Vibe was his first solo record.
