One month ago, Sad Girlz Club released a new EP called I Think I'm Ready. A month later, we're ready to premiere their brand new video for the song name.
The entire 3-song EP is about transition, change and challenging relationships. This single continues that theme, as Travis Dunbar explains:
“Tossing and Turning" is about dealing with the struggles of a long distance relationship while in a global pandemic. A LDR comes with its own inherent difficulties of longing for somebody you love and not being able to be immediately by their side; there’s also the added challenge of navigating that while under a lockdown order and not having the ability to really think or plan about the future outside of the abstract. The most you can do is chat on the phone or FaceTime each other while the days waste away. The positive outcome of this is that you cherish and appreciate those moments so much more deeply than you would in any other circumstance.
The song, and the EP as a whole, is simultaneously angry, sad, forlorn and resilient -- just like the human condition.
I Think I'm Ready was released on Sept. 24 via Lavasocks Records.
