Nadja has a new record, Luminous Rot, out next month. While they've already shared the title track for that, the group also unveiled special foots at Roadburn Redux a week ago that's now available to the general public. Titled "Seemannsgarn," the footage is 41-minutes in length and was recorded at The Black Lodge in Berlin.
The band explains:
Early in 2021, the Black Lodge and Salon Oblique invited us to participate in their series of filmed performances by Berlin artists. For this session, we chose to perform a new composition, Seemannsgarn, an extended, meditative piece we wrote about a liminal and tranquil green space/urban waterway in our quiet corner of Berlin, now in flux and with an uncertain future, threatened by gentrification and development.
"Seemannsgarn" is a standalone composition that is not on Luminous Rot, which releases May 21 on cd/digital and August 13 on LP through Southern Lord. Check out "Seemannsgarn" below.
