Joy Division has surely left its imprint not only on a large array of bands but is omnipresent in whole musical genres. Interpol is a band where it would prove to be difficult to not see their dark indie-rock, which certainly helped to propel the turn-of-the-century post-punk revival to new heights.
Interpol have recently embarked on a world tour starting off in the US, dates in the new world, and culminating in their first show Down Under after more than seven years for a one-off special performance on Saturday, 05 January, 2019 under the concrete cast shells of Sydney’s iconic Opera House, which given the ambience of the venue and what Interpol’s new album Marauder promises, should not be missed.
