Battles, a new indie-rock supergroup, features guitarist Ian Williams of Don Caballero and Storm & Stress fame, drummer John Stanier of Helmet and Tomahawk, David Konopka of the Boston/Chicago phenomenon Lynx, and Brooklyn-based avant-garde composer Tyondai Braxton. Battles are gearing up for a 15-date tour of the Midwest, Pacific Northwest, and West Coast in support of EP C (released on Monitor) and Tras EP (released on Cold Sweat). The tour kicks off on July 9th in Detroit.
