Philadelphia, PA hardcore/punk band Barricade has essentially called it quits (the slim possibility of a future reformation apparently exists). Formed in 2004, the group has released material with Blackout! Records, Hand Of Hope Records, and Eulogy Recordings. Here's the official word: "June 11th 2010, Day 1 of the East Coast Tsunami fest will be our last show for a long time and possibly ever. Tom and Schwenk have found great careers and are busy getting their lives together, which is keeping them from the road. Cody and I have started a new band with Barricade’s former bass player, John Barlow, called Animal Haus (myspace.com/animalhaus). Jimmy is also working on a new project as well. We have not ruled out getting back together in the future for a couple of shows or maybe even full-time once our lives settle down, but as of right now the time has come to take a much needed break. "It's been over 6 years: dozens of members, drunken tours, hundreds of shows... Entirely too many hours living in a van. It was all worth it because of the lifetime of memories and friends we made along the way. We just want to thank all the people we have met on the road and all the friends that have supported us here at home. "We promise to set shit off right one last time Friday during the ECT fest so come help us celebrate the end."
