THE RED LIGHT STING BREAK UP

Posted by Jonathan on September 5, 2004

Sad news to report: after two EP's, a split LP with Hot Hot Heat, a newly released full-length, and countless shows, Vancouver-based synth-y/screamy/rock n' roll roller coaster The Red Light Sting have called it quits. The group posted a message on their site informing fans of the news: "so for those of you who don't know, we've broken up. yes, the rumours are true. well some of them at least. as for what the internet has told us, don't worry, zoë isn't pregnant and andy is not sick, no big drama or cat fight. sorry gossip mill! we've been a band for almost 6 years, and the time just came. if anyone has any questions, feel free to email us. we'll all be working on new projects, so keep an eye out. zoë, geoff and dann (fresh meat) have already started a new band, and andy is always busy with secret mommy and heavy party. we'll keep you posted on new bands on our site."
