Jimmy Eat World have announced a one-off show performing their album, Futures, for its 20th Anniversary. The event will take place in Phoenix, AZ at The Van Buren on October 17th, 2024. Pre-sale begins on August 13th with the general sale on August 16th. In addition to the performance, the band has also announced Futures: The Phoenix Sessions vinyl release. That's not all! The band is also celebrating 5 years of Surviving with its own Phoenix Sessions release. Both were recorded during a live stream event in 2021 and are expected to ship around October 18th via their own Exotic Location Recordings. The band comments:
It was our darkest album and was the hardest for us to make. Futures was the
first record we made where we didn't feel like we were making it
anonymously. Despite Futures being a super challenging record to make, we
pushed through and ended up with an album we are super proud of to this
day. Being able to reimagine it as a live recording so many years later for
the Phoenix Sessions was an amazing experience, and we hope you enjoy
reliving it again as much as we did.
