In 10 days, Dan Vapid and the Cheats will release Welcome to Dystopia, the fifth full-length from the Chicao-based pop-punk band with members of The Methadones, The Riverdales, and Sludgeworth.
“I try my best to see the good when I can, but as a society we have reached a turning point and it isn’t good. Many of the songs on Welcome to Dystopia reflect that,” Vapid says of the record, which takes a political turn reflecting on the pandemic, conspiracy theories, narcissism, and more.
The record will release on vinyl and CD through Eccentric Pop Records, and on cassette via Memorable But Not Honorable. Listen to "Sour Pauline" below.
