Morbikon's second album awaits

Posted in Records on September 30, 2025

Blackened thrast project Morbikon will return with Lost Within The Astral Crypts, coming out on Nov. 21 on Tankcrimes -- a follow-up to debut album Ov Mournful Twilight, which came out in 2022..

The band features Mathias “Vreth” Lillmåns on vocals and Phil “Landphil” Hall (Municipal Waste, Cannabis Corpse, Iron Reagan)  on guitar/bass with 8 new songs in total.

“This album feels like some of my darkest material yet,” Hall says in a press statement. “I filled these songs to the brim with atmosphere and riffs. There are moments during the album that truly feel soaked in classic ‘90s underground blasphemy.”

The record also features drums by Pierce Williams (Aenigmatum, ex-Skeletal Remains), solos by Blake Hibberd (Unburier), and additional instrumentation by Adam Gilliams (guitar; Cannabis Corpse) and Thomas Saltman (synths).
