Joe Jackson's The Duke album recently debuted at #1 on the Billboard Contemporary Jazz Album Chart and #93 on the Top Album chart. The record, which features guest spots from Iggy Pop, Sharon Jones, Steve Vai, Regina Carter, and more, is a tribute along with the Bigger Band to jazz legend Duke Ellington. The album sees Jackson reinterpreting 15 Ellington songs into 10 new arrangements, fusing the styles of Ellington with that of Jackson.
In September, the band will be hitting the road.
