Video Premiere - "Hambriento de amor" by Farmacia

Posted in Records on January 12, 2021

Formed in 2000 by Argentinian brothers Ariel and Diego Sima, Farmacia has worked over the years on a variety of recordings and collaborations. The band’s new release, a self-titled album released through the Wraith Productions label, finds them seeming to do a little of everything. Featuring Spanish-language vocals, the album delivers a wide range of largely electronic-based tracks, and I found myself really enjoying the overall diversity of the material. From more synthy tracks to weirdo electro and even a bit of jazzy sounds, this album is anything but dull.

About the release, the band has this to say: "This album was recorded quite quickly: we used effects on the voices in order to make a difference from the ones we have been using so far. Several songs have been recorded very differently, we took advantage of the tools offered by the recording studio. There are themes that are composed from improvisation and by using the 'cut and paste' method. We have been working in this process little by little on our previous album 'La sangre del sol y la luna coagulada'. Musically speaking, this is our darkest album despite the theme 'Hambriento de amor,' which we have to confess, is truly pop."

Premiering here, we’ve got the nicely-done video for “Hambriento de amor,” which might be one of my favorites from the album. Dig the video below and head over here to preorder the self-titled release.
