April 4 is the release date for Alluvion, a new collaborative 4-track album from Mizmor & Hell, out via Gilead Media.
The band shares one of the songs now, "Pandemonium's Throat," stating: "'Pandemonium's Throat'" is a song about trauma and its effects on the brain and body. As we live our lives we accumulate all sorts of mental and physical blemishes, some extremely consequential and seemingly permanent. Through self-reflection and therapy, we can come to recognize these wounds and scars and seek to heal them. Even so, we may still find ourselves once again in a pit of darkness, brought down again by familiar patterns or events that seem to set us off and hold us back. It is from this destructive, suffocating, near-hopeless place that we either give up or find the gall to continue on. It can be incredibly disheartening, but if we have reasons for living we can find the courage to crawl out of the abyss and pick up our burden of problems again, moving toward a slightly brighter place, hopefully with fewer and fewer setbacks befalling us as we go."
