North Carolina hardcore punk band Subculture will release a lost 6-song 1986 album, Fred, out on 12" on Jan. 24 on Sorry State Records.

The record was recorded to be the follow-up to I Heard A Scream (1985), but was never finished as the band soon broke up. During their run, they played shows with Fear, The Vandals, Verbal Abuse, Dirty Rotten Imbeciles, and NOFX, with legend stating that it was Subculture who nicknamed Fat Mike.

The album's release is dedicated to the memory of former guitarist Fred Hutchinson who passed away in 2023, with proceeds to be donated to his wife and children.

Subculture - Fred tracklisting:

1. Willpower
2. Young Frankenstein
3. Victimized
4. Triangle
5. Bad Desperation
6. KC’s Coming To Town
