FACS will release their sixth studio album next year, on Feb. 7, 2025 via Trouble in Mind. The record will be titled Wish Defense and has the unfortunate distinction as the final album engineered by Steve Albini.
The theme of the record is the duality of personhood, described by Brian Case as built on the concept of doppelgängers tackling the idea of facing yourself and observing your ideas and motivations. A single is out now (below).
The new record also features the return of original member Jonathan Van Herik, who left before debut album Negative Houses was released, now on bass (he originally played guitar).
