Chicago, IL band BEASTII will release a new album, Follower, on Sept. 6 via Dark Circles Records. The band is releasing a single each Friday until its release, including the new "Cosmic Bummer," teasing the full album in pieces until its release. The band play punky, catchy new wave-ish rock.

On "Cosmic Bummer," founder Jen Dot (aka Jen B. Larson, formerly of Swimsuit Addition and author of Hit Girls: Women of Punk in the USA, 1975-1983) explains, “I was playing around with this straightforward, bluesy lick and it turned into a song about some relationship issue...Honestly don’t remember over who or what I was pissed about, but the lyrics were spewed out, genuinely how I felt. It just sort of came out. When I sing it or listen to it now, I feel like I am talking about the cruelty of the world in general and not an individual relationship.”
