After sharing a few singles in recent times, Stand Still of Long Island, NY has set the date for their debut album, with comes out on June 14 via DAZE and will be titled Steps Ascending.
The latest single is called "In the Dying Light of a Setting Sun. Vocalist Gerry Windus states:
The "setting sun" in this track is one's lifespan running short, and the "dying light" describes the remains of one's motivation to live a fulfilling life. These lyrics describe my personal struggle to capture the childlike imagination that surrounded my early creative years while lacking the drive of a younger version of myself, a drive that I am well aware I may never get back.
Stand Still formed in 2020 and released EPs in both 2021 and 2022. They also recently announced a summer tour with with Soul Blind and ASkySoBlack.
