Vortis is back with The Miasmic Years

On Oct. 2, Chicago punk band Vortis returned with a new album, The Miasmic Years, a follow-up to 2018's This Machine Kills Fascists.

The band originally formed in 2000, pushing forward over 20 years through life challenges and lineup changes, including the passing of original vocalist Michael Weinstein. 

The new self-released album contains 17 songs in 30-minutes, capturing a blast of distorted guitar and time-tested punk with added looping for ethereal effect.
