Puppy Angst, a 4-piece form Philadelphia, PA, founded by Alyssas Milman (Kississippi) and joined by Dan Leinweber (guitar), Eric Naroden (drums), and John Heywood (bass, Alex G), has announced a new single, out now (released on Aug. 31).
The band blends shoegaze, dream pop, and noisier elements for a unique yet emotional express, on full display on the new song, "In Sensitivity."
Milman notes:
"In Sensitivity" is a super upbeat song about working towards happiness despite struggling with mental health. The song is filled with dreamy, nostalgic guitar tones that get swallowed up by fuzz, wacky vocal processing, a melodic bassline, simultaneous guitar and synth solos… the hook and instrumentation are really fun, despite the lyrics maybe not being the happiest. In sensitivity, there is strength!
The song is just the beginning, as the band is planning to release its first full-length later this fall.
