Anti-Flag recently announced a new album, due for release at the start of 2023.

But fans needn't wait that long for new material -- the band will album be re-releasing their eighth studio album, The General Strike, in a new "10th Anniversary Edition" with SideOneDummy overseeing the release.

The new version features limited press vinyl, two previously unrelease tracks, new artwork and a 10x10 poster. It releases on Oct. 14.

Chris #2 reflects:

It’s unfortunate how many of the themes that we were feeling and writing about on this album are some of the most arduous issues we are facing today. History, power structures, and the abuse of the working class and poor are all too often cyclical in nature. The band was just heading the warning of community organizers and protest movements, we were trying to document that struggle with these songs. We are grateful that people are still finding solace and hope for a better way forward in them today.

The General Strike 10th Anniversary Edition track list:

1. Controlled Opposition
2. The Neoliberal Anthem
3. 1915
4. This is the New Sound
5. Bullshit Opportunist
6. The Ranks of the Masses Rising
7. Turn a Blind Eye
8. Broken Bones
9. I Don't Wanna
10. Nothing Recedes Like Progress
11. Resist
12. The Ghosts of Alexandria
13. Whistleblower (previously unreleased)
14. SKATE (previously unreleased)

Barack Obama recently apologised to the families of two Western hostages killed during US drone strikes in January in the Pakistan-Afghanistan border. Anti-Flag has always been a band about raising awareness, but usually the subject is tied to our country's government in some manner. The band continues on with this EP, but instead of enlightening Americans about the evils of the U.S. government the band is raising awareness and monetary funds to help victims of violent crimes, something that hits close to … Read more
