Mikey Erg has announced a new 10-song record under his solo moniker, recorded with Jeff Rosenstock on lead guitar and backing vocals, and cut to analog recording by Steve Albini (arguably most famous for recording Nirvana's In Utero). The lineup also features Alex Clute and Lou Hanman, recreating the band responsible for Tentative Decisions.
While Mikey has released dozens of records (including a new Ergs EP this year), the new album, Love At Leeds, is his first time using analog recordings. Albini recorded the material, which was recorded at Electrical Audio in Chicago, then mastered at Bernie Grundman Mastering facility and cut straight to lacquer disc by Chris Bellman.
The album will release on June 24 via Don Giovanni Records.
