Mister Goblin and Exploding in Sound Records will give us Bunny on Friday April 22.
In the meantime, the band shared a new video last week for the single "Military Discount," which captures the sound the group has perfected while releasing four albums in a five year span up to the moment.
The band began as a solo project from Sam Goblin (Two Inch Astronaut) and has expanded into a trio that includes Seth Engel (Options) and Aaron O'Neill (Cumbie) playing drums and bass, and joined by Joe Suihkonen (Gentle Heat, The Deals) when performing live.
Sam Goblin explains the localized depth to the song's title and inspiration:
In Indiana there are many, many fireworks stands, most of which feature some sort of discount for service members. I just think that’s such a bizarre fucking deal, given that PTSD and hypervigiliance are so common among veterans. It’s kind of written from the perspective of a shiesty used car salesman type of person who is trying to pawn fireworks off on military people.
