Indie/emo pioneers Bright Eyes have announced an ambitious "companion" project which will see them reissue all of their nine albums, with bonus accompanying material. Each reissued album will be accompanied by an EP of five new recordings of songs from the LP featuring special guests, plus a cover of a song that was inspirational at the time of the original release.
The first three albums to get the Companion treatment are the influential first releases: A Collection of Songs Written and Recorded 1995-1997, 1998's Letting Off The Happiness and Fevers and Mirrors from 2000.
You can check out three re-recordings (a song from each LP) on YouTube: “Falling Out Of Love At This Volume”, “Contrast & Compare (ft. Waxahatchee)” and “Haligh, Haligh, A Lie, Haligh (ft. Phoebe Bridgers)”, and see below for the full list of tracks on each of the three accompanying EPs.
The band have also announced new US and European tour dates which are available on their website.
