Plosivs has set the date for their upcoming debut album, a self-titled record due on March 17 via Swami Records.

The band features John Reis (Hot Snakes / Rocket From The Crypt / Drive Like Jehu), Rob Crow (Pinback), Atom Willard (Against Me!), and Jordan Clark (Mrs. Magician) and recorded its 10 song record last October at Singing Serpent Studios with engineer Ben Moore.

“I feel we started this group when we did to push back against an overwhelming sense of uncertainty, confusion, loss and sadness. The bummer needed an opposition,” Reis says in a statement, referencing the challenges of the pandemic, a lack of live shows, and more. “For me, the antidote always begins with the electric guitar.”

The band will follow the album's release with live dates across the US.

In the meantime, enjoy "Broken Eyes," with a video befitting of its title.

Comprised of John Reis (Hot Snakes/Rocket From The Crypt/Drive Like Jehu), Rob Crow (Pinback), Atom Willard (Against Me!) and Jordan Clark (Mrs. Magician), it delivers almost exactly what you’d expect. It has Reis’ entrenched rock ‘n’ roll sensibility and surf-tinged, hook-driven, punked-up power-pop with … Read more
