Since 2008, Cleveland, Ohio’s Restless Habs, originally formed by veteran players Ken Blaze and Peter Woodward of the Unknown, have been steadily pumping out releases (six EPs to date) and creating energetic punk-tinged rock music they describe as sounding like "an earthquake at Disneyland." After joining with drummer Anthony Panico in 2018, the band is now prepping for the release of their first full length, Taking the Fast Way Down, which drops on Valentine’s Day on Steadfast Records.
Featured below is the video for “Casual and Reckless,” about which guitarist and vocalist Peter Woodward says: “"The last couple of years have been pretty tumultuous for us in our personal lives and at different times I think we each got overwhelmed by that. 'Casual and Reckless' isn't about any particular event, it's more about the feeling of resigning to the chaos when staying anchored and stable is too much to handle."
An album release show in Cleveland is scheduled on February 15th, and the album can be preordered here.
