SPB is excited to feature the new full-length player from Constant Insult.
Titled History in Shorthand, the 11-song record comes out on Jan. 31, 2020 and is the follow-up to a 2015 self-titled EP.
The band formed in 2014 with the idea of writing songs “that sound like the Rolling Stones combined with the Marked Men.” The band changed directs along the way. There is still a focus on tight songwriting with memorable hooks, but the band’s general sound is best described as accessible, driving punk with an underlying relatable charm that shines through. The rhythm section pummels and pushes while vocal harmonies and dark melodies provide a balanced range of emotions.
