American Football will celebrate the upcomign 20th anniversary of its debut, LP1 with some brand new, old material. The band, via Polyvinyl Record Co., will released Year One Demo on 12" vinyl later this year, on Dec. 13 via Polyvinyl Record Co. LP1 officially turns 20 years olf today, Sept. 14.

The Year One Demo consists of previously unreleased, newly mastered instrumental material. It is the first proper set of demos the band made. “My dad ‘recorded’ this in the basement of the house I grew up in,” Steve Lamos recalls. “As far as I can recall, he set up two vocal mics, at 90-degree angles, set the levels, showed me how to turn the Roberts two-track to ‘record,’ and then went upstairs while we played.”

The band will perform at Riot Fest tomorrow.
