File 13 Records will release 8 1/2 Lives, the second album from Chicago's Acquaintances.
While just the band's second album, the quartet features many famililar faces from other prominent indie bands:
- Jered Gummere - Guitar, Vocals (The Ponys, Bare Mutants, Richard Vain)
- Justin Sinkovich - Guitar, Vocals (The Poison Arrows, Atombombpocketknife, Thumbnail)
- Patrick Morris - Bass (Don Caballero, The Poison Arrows)
- Chris Wilson - Drums (Ted Leo + Pharmacists, Titus Andronicus, Hammered Hulls, Open City)
Stephen Schmidt (Thumbnail, Chino Horde) and Adam Reach (The Poison Arrows, Pink Avalanche) also play on the record.
The band originally formed in 2012, releasing a self-titled album the following year.
8 1/2 Lives will release on May 31.
