Boris + Merzbow's Gensho

Merzbow and Boris have united on a 2CD/4LP concept album titled Gensho, meaning phenomenon. The double album features tracks by each artist individually, arranged with the intent for both albums to be played at the same time in different arrangements.

Boris' contributions feature percussion-less songs reworked from earlier material while the Merzbow material is entirely new. Combined, the album is nearly 2.5 hours long.

Gensho will be released on Relapse Records on March 18.
