Posted by Jon E. on June 13, 2010

Operation MD have announced plans to release a new album. The group is the side project from Sum 41 bassist Jason "Cone" McCaslin and H2O's Todd Morse. According to a Chart Attack report, the album " is more of a garage record, borrowing heavily from acts like The Hives and Violent Femmes. " Along with Cone and Todd, the album features contributions by Billy Talent guitarist Ian D'Sa and Sum 41 bandmate Deryck Whibley. D'Sa produced lead single "Buried At Sea," and Whibley mixed "Sick And Twisted." "Buried at Sea" is currently streaming on the band's MySpace page. The record is titled Birds + Bee Stings and is due out digitally on June 29, 2010.
