Cave In EP To Get Re-Release / Rarities Collection Finally Coming???

Posted by Michael on September 12, 2009

Cave In's recent vinyl-only return EP, Planets of Old, looks to be getting a CD release in the near future, according to a Hydra Head blogpost.  The EP will also be packaged with at DVD. No word on what additional materials will be included on the CD/DVD release. In other news, a rarities collection of unreleased Cave In material appears to finally be drawing closer to an official release.  The following information was revealed in an unrelated blog post:

Those rarities [...] have been fully weeded through...in fact, we should probably post the complete track-listing for junkies like yrselves to give a once over. It's literally 4 packed discs of largely unheard demos and unreleased stuff that Brodsky put together during summer '08. It covers a good 10+ years of activity, and as you might imagine, it runs the gamut from totally awesome to not so much....but if yr gay for Cave In you'd get a kick out of it all for sure. We have it on rather good authority that the cream of the rarities crop has been skimmed off the top, and set aside for some sort of release in 2010. And we can assure you that Inflatable Dream will be included....how's that for a scoop?
