Founder of Twin/Tone Records and former manager of The Replacements, as well as Sr. VP of A&R at New West Records, Peter Jesperson will publish a memoir called Euphoric Recall, out Nov. 14 on Minnesota Historical Society Press.
The book explores Jesperson's discovery of the Minneapolis music scene in the 1970s and 1980s, including his connections to beloved and long lost institutions Oak Folkjokeopus record store and Jay's Longhorn bar. In addition to his connection to The Replacements, arguably the best known of this segment of the music scene, Twin/Tone also released albums by Soul Asylum, The Suburbs, Babes in Toyland, and the Jayhawks.
Post Twin/Tone, Jesperson worked with an impressive selection of artists such as Dwight Yoakam, Kris Kristofferson, Vic Chesnutt, and Steve Earle. Music journalist David Fricke provides a foreword.
