Earlier this month, fifteen Houston artists came together for the digital benefit release Making Waves: A Benefit Compiltation For Those Affected by Hurricane Harvey.
Including contributions from Football, etc., Cool Moon, VODI, Ruiners, The Wheel Workers, Astragal, Dollie Barnes, Greg Cote & The Real Life Friends, Tee Vee, Lace, El Lago, Miears, Fight Me, Rose Ette, and Omotai, proceeds go directly to the United Way Of Greater Houston's Hurricane Relief Fund.

"This storm was completely unfathomable, and I've been through a lot of hurricanes. Some of the first-person accounts I've read will haunt me for a long time. For a lot of people here, it will be difficult and take a long time to get back to some kind of normalcy or get close to replacing what was lost. But I was astounded by the response of regular people here that stepped up and rescued and helped others," OMOTAI bassist/vocalist Melissa Lonchambon Ryan says of the storm.
Omotai's A Ruined Oak will be reissued on Tofu Carnage on Oct. 6. The band is also playing live in correlation to the reissue.
