Nick Cave has continued his work outside the music world with another screenplay. Cave recently completed a film adaptation of Matt Bondurant's 2008 novel The Wettest County in the World. The screenplay was written for director John Hillcoat, with whom Cave also worked with on The Proposition. Here is what Cave had to say on the matter:
I've written another film script for John Hillcoat for a new movie. It's from a book called The Wettest County in the World, and it's set in the depression. It's about… well, it's a new film and he's trying to get that together.
