Check out the new single from Better Lovers, "The Flowering" below:

Greg Puciato comments:

’The Flowering” is a song we’ve been playing live since day one. It came from the same batch as the God Made Me An Animal EP, so it’s nice to finally have it recorded and out there. It’s a perfect example of how Jordan, Mitch, Goose, and Will playing together sounds like an absolute freight train. Being able to play this live so many times before recording it really amplified that even more, really deepened the groove of it, the music swings so fucking hard. Not to mention the video is one of my favorite videos I’ve ever been a part of. The title and lyrics are an obvious metaphor for realizing that we are all more than what we’re conditioned to believe, and acknowledging the collective ‘waking up’ moment that we all seem to be going through right now.

Details on the band's forthcoming full-length to be released via SharpTone Records will be revealed soon.

Dissociation
Party Smasher Inc. (2016)

The progression of The Dillinger Escape Plan over the years has truly been a sight to behold. This is taking into consideration that their 1999 debut Calculating Infinity was no mere basic introduction. It was already two spots to the right on the evolutionary chart.Dissociation would appear, if recent interviews are to be believed (and why on earth wouldn't they … Read more

As a disclaimer, I am not in any way an expert on bands whose primary genre tag ends in '-core'. However, I know a fantastic album when I hear it, and the Dillinger Escape Plan's latest album, 2013's One of Us is the Killer, is beyond even that. It's been clear since their 1999 debut Calculating Infinity that the Dillinger Escape … Read more

Every Time I Die

New Junk Aesthetic
Epitaph (2009)

There's always a lot of different opinions surrounding the band Every Time I Die. A lot prefer the more chaotic, unpredictable sound they had in the early days of Hot Damn! and Last Night in Town, while a lot seem to enjoy their more riff-heavy metalcore sound they've developed since Gutter Phenomenon. Their last album, The Big Dirty was arguably … Read more
