Earlier this year, Danny Elfman (Oingo Boingo) released his first solo album in years (ANTI-/Epitaph). Now, he shares a new version of the song "True" with Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails). The pairing offers everything fans would expect: industrial percussion, cinematic flares, and a seemingly-at-odds-but-somehow-it-works marriage of melody and harsh sounds.
“This is the first duet/collaboration I’ve ever done in my life, so to do it with Trent was a real surprise and a treat,” Elfman explains of the new version. “He’s always been a big inspiration to me, not to mention he has one of my all-time favorite singing voices.”
