"Piano One" was started by Charlotte Martin. She laid out an arrangement of piano chords that caught Sharky Laguana's (Creeper Lagoon) ear. He downloaded it and laid down vocals and programmed a reference drum track that was eventually replaced by Aaron Harris of ISIS. Brad Laner then stepped in and added organ, electric guitars, and a bass riff in the chorus. Ken Andrews finished it off with a supportive bass guitar.
