Philadelphia, PA-based record label Jumpstart is celebrating 25 years throughout 2021. And the label has seen a lot in that time, from the CD boom to Napster to Spotify and podcasts. But this isn't a history lesson (hey, we actually have a piece coming out with the label on that topic), it's an update about a label first.
Jumpstart has launched its first subscription club. Capped at 100 members, subscribers get 6 exclusive LP releases/pressings/variants available only to members, plus a t-shirt, tote bag, coffee mug, and patch. Of the 6 records, three are Astpai's True Capacity, Broadcaster's Joyride +3, and The Readymen's Restless.
The label launched in 1996 and has released albums by The Planet Smashers, A Wilhelm Scream, MxPx, Off With Their Heads, Horace Pinker, Plow United, and many more.
