Syrup Moose Records issued a statement today that the label will go on hiatus as of January 1, 2025 citing, editorially paraphrased, a need for work/life balance. The label will continue to release new albums through 2024 and will fulfill all mail orders.

Read the statement below.

January 1st 2025: Syrup Moose Records enters hibernation.

The short is that there will be no new releases from SMR coming in 2025.
** I reserve the right to change my mind at any time **

For a few reasons, it’s time for me to.. stop doing this.

I’ll be shifting focus to the SMRadio show and MEGAFAUNA / Grumm Trencher.

I will also work on fulfilling all outstanding orders, and making sure existing pre-orders get produced. We move slow here at the Moose, but everyone gets what they ordered.

I truly don’t know if this matters, but it felt worth saying. I have no plans to completely dissolve SMR but I just need some time away. I’m tired.
