Keeled Scales partners with Polyvinyl

Record labels Polyvinyl Record Co. and Keeled Scales have anounced a partnership. Through the deal, Polyvinyl now owns an equity stake in Keeled Scales, which remains independent but with additional resources.

As the press release puts it, "which will allow the two labels to work together while Keeled Scales retains autonomy over all creative decisions. Keeled Scales will maintain their worldwide distribution via Secretly Distribution, with Polyvinyl stepping in to handle direct-to-customer fulfillment."

Polyvinyl was founded in 1996 in Champaign, IL and Keeled Scales was founded in 2014 in Austin, TX.

Polyvinyl releases include Jeff Rosenstock and Man on Man, among others.
