Relapse Records signs Cough

Posted by Jon E. on June 4, 2010

Official press release: Relapse Records is proud to announce the signing Richmond, VA's Cough. Cough formed in 2005 and has independently released an EP, The Kingdom, as well as a full-length album, Sigillum Luciferi, via Forcefield Records. The band has recently written the follow-up to Sigillum Luciferi and has been working on the album with producer Sanford Parker. The new full-length, titled Ritual Abuse, is expected to see a fall 2010 release date. Cough commented on the new album: "Ritual Abuse is the result of all the shit and suffering we put ourselves through to continue to write this music. Hopefully you all feel as miserable listening to it as we did creating it." More immediately, Cough are about to embark on brief East Coast tour alongside Elder. This tour kicks-off tonight in Richmond before working its way up the coast. A listing of confirmed Cough tour dates can be found below with more to be announced soon. Stay tuned to www.relapse.com for forthcoming Cough information. Additional details will be made available via Cough's MySpace page.
