Hex Records has unveiled its plans for releases in 2009. Included are three new signings to the label: Oak and Bone, Night Owls, and Prize Country. New signing Oak and Bone hail from Syracuse and offer up a sound described as "Unsane meets Queens Of the Stone Age." The band will release a four-song 7" in 2009. Also hailing from Syracuse is Night Owls and their "catchy and punchy brand of hardcore roc." Look for their debut EP later this month. Prize Country hails from Portland, OR and plays a mixture of "later-era Snapcase with a lot more Quicksand and Drive Like Jehu." Look for their new full-length this Summer.
The Helm, from the Pacific Northwest, return back to Hex after releasing their debut full-length with Indecision. The band has re-tooled their lineup and will release their sophomore full-length this Summer. Also on tap are new 7" records from Lemuria, Helms Alee, and End of a Year.
